Satellite Rain Analysis is issued approximately 630am all year, but is updated as needed during storms at about 5pm with a Graphical Quantitative Precipitation Forecast. The SSM/I Microwave Moisture Analyses are normally
updated with each DMSP satellite pass over the area from the western U.S. to
about 140W. Quantitative Precipitation Forecasts are now generated for the entire California coast and valley areas, and in the Central Valley from Stockton south. They are issued on a twice daily
basis...approximately 0445 and 1300 throughout the year.
The MtnRT forecasts are updated every 6 hours for all of California, and are on the server at 0200, 0700, 1300, and 1700 Pacific Time.
